An equation for a better way to eat...

The whole concept of finding a better way to eat seems pretty simple to me.  I'm not a "Mathlete" or anything, but I've been working some things out in my head:

It seems like 1 burrito PLUS sustainably raised, natural ingredients DIVIDED by obsessive attention to detail & classical cooking techniques MINUS hormones & crazy chemicals PLUS tastiness TIMES a whole bunch of people eating those burritos TIMES a really big bunch of farmers & ranchers that supply those sustainably raised, natural ingredients that go into said burrito TIMES a general change in the way food is grown & distributed EQUALS a way, way better to eat.  I mean come on! It's not rocket science.  I just wish more people could get a handle on this equation. Maybe I should set up a tutoring service so I can help explain this to people and of course earn some extra money to buy more Chipotle burritos....

Dear Barbacoa Burrito

I've been a napkin for quite some time now.  You might be surprised to learn that it is NOT always that awesome of a job.  Some of the stuff i have to clean up at restaurants is pretty nasty.  Most of it is processed food that has nothing in common with real, actual vegetables & meat.

I have spent time wiping up food made with scary ingredients & science-experiment names.  It was the worst job I ever had. I would rather be a back-up napkin at an otameal convention. SERIOUSLY.  Then I got a job at Chipotle and now life is great.  I could sop up food like you all the time.  Mom ( a tablecloth) told to always enjoy my work - and let me tell you, when I'm covered in your braised beef & tomato salsa? PHEW...Who could even call that work? Seriously.

Later,

Nap
